Winter Hairy

Yesterday it rained. All day.
Started in the morning. Didn’t let up.
I took the car. It shat down.
It stopped for maybe half an hour.
Clouds overhead
I thought that’s it, end of your summer.
No more beach swims, waxing on bikini lines
I’ll go back to being pale white
And winter hairy –
